The year 2016 has begun and there is only one place to start it rightfully. Where? might you ask. On the emblematic parc of the Cinquantenaire. Yes, yes we are refering to AutoWorld.

This magnificent museum is dedicated to transport's history, whether it be by horse, motorbike, truck or car. It is the temple, if not the Mecca for automotive enthusiasts. Accustomed to offering themed exhibition; Porsche, Aston Martin and more, AutoWorld is open 365 days per year. You can grab a bite at its "brasserie" and even bring back a souvenir from the model shop to liven up your desk or fireplace.

The exhibition itself.

On a rainy Saturday in the beginning of January, we decide to visit AutoWorld and avoid the racket generated by the Salon de l'Auto and its huge flow of visitors.

To celebrate the exhibition "ITALIAN CAR PASSION – La bella machina", the museum has been coated in green, white and red for two months*. For us, this was the opportunity to discover current Italian vehicles and take a look back at cars from the past. The extent of current and past vehicles will certainly delight everybody's passion, from the youngest to the oldest visitors.

Everything is aimed at immersing the visitor in the Mediterranean atmosphere: music, italian town settings and warm lighting. You would almost think you are in Italy!

In absolute peace, we can fully enjoy the museum in total simplicity. There is no hindrance caused by other visitors and we can capture any photograph we wish, all this in a comforting mutual respect.

All Italian brands, or almost, are presented: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, De Tomaso, Bugatti… and many others.

And what would this exhibition be without those who transformed automotive design into a standalone artistic discipline?

You will surely recognise them: Pininfarina, Bugatti, Bertone, Zagato, Spada, Giugaro and others.

I am going to stop lingering and let you enjoy the curves, colours and atmospheres captured by our photos of our dear Italy.
